A Green Environment

Protecting the environment is a major issue for humanity, and its importance continues to grow as the climate crisis worsens. Reducing the environmental impacts of economic activity is necessary in order to preserve the planet for future generations.

As a leading business corporation, we at the Fridenson Group also take responsibility for the environment, and act to manage and reduce our environmental impact.

We are integrating innovative technologies into our business operations in recent years in order to reduce our ecological footprint. As a company with a significant fleet of vehicles, one of our major environmental impacts is greenhouse gas emissions. Our technologies in both vehicle fleet management and in green transportation enable us to streamline our transport operations, to increase the value we generate for our customers, and of course to benefit the environment. Thus, for example, all our trucks comply with the Euro 6 Standard for diesel vehicles, the most stringent environmental standard for trucks. During the course of this year we will publish our first corporate responsibility report, which will describe in detail the processes we are undertaking to protect the environment, Israel and the world at large.

As from 2015, the company purchases vehicles with engines in compliance with the Euro 6 standard, which significantly improve emissions quality. As part of this effort the company also acquired a gas-powered truck.

Beginning in 2016, a company with a fleet of 100 or more heavy vehicles is required to submit a report specifying the environmental pollution caused by its vehicles. As from November 2018, a diesel engine vehicle manufactured before 2005 that only complies with the Euro 3 standard will not pass the license tests unless means to reduce air pollution have been installed (diesel particulate filter).

Almost all the company’s diesel-powered vehicles are manufactured in Europe, and therefore comply with the abovementioned standards.

The company’s policy is to replace a vehicle with a new vehicle every five years, which naturally means that the new vehicle meets the newer standards.
