Storage Services
The storage division, Fridenson Generation Logistics Centers, operates a wide range of storage services under a customs regime, as well as free storage.
The company’s storage complexes are spread across the country, from Haifa in the north, through Ashdod in the center and Be’er Sheva in the South. We offer an open storage terminal, closed centers for dry and refrigerated cargo, terminals vehicles, as well as services for the storage and distribution of hazardous materials in accordance with the most stringent Israel Ministry of Health and international standards.
Ashdod Terminal, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Fridenson Group, operates a cargo terminal and a train adjacent to Ashdod port.
The terminal spans 100 dunams and includes a cargo train complex with 3 railway lines that connect to all the infrastructures of Israel Railways, including a connection to Haifa Port, Tzefa terminal in the south, and Beit She’an terminal, among others.
The cargo terminal in Ashdod serves all business sectors, including importers, exporters, customs brokers and shipping companies. An advanced warehouse management system (WMS) for inventory management is used in all storage facilities.
Refrigerated and Frozen Storage
Fridenson Generation Logistics Centers is an additional and significant step the company took in realizing the Group’s vision and goals to be at the forefront of the storage and logistics sector in Israel. We built the new logistics center in Ashdod on a total area of 12,500 sqm, with 7,500 pallets for frozen storage of -25°C. The center is fully automated, without human contact, and with climate control throughout all storage areas.
The new logistics center can also store about 13,000 palettes of all types of cargo, and also includes a sorting center.
As part of our refrigeration solutions we have a terminal for cargo under customs control and a veterinary cargo terminal for receiving meat and fish cargo approved by the Ministry of Agriculture. Thus we are an operational arm for receipt of cargo from abroad.
Hazardous Material Storage
The storage of hazardous materials is under regulatory control and requires meeting high standards anchored in law. The law, that was formulated by the Ministry of Environmental Protection, requires entities to meet a high safety threshold, and all those transporting and storing hazardous materials to have the appropriate knowledge, professional training and facilities.
The Fridenson Group is considered one of the veteran logistics companies in Israel. With over 40 years of experience, the company engages in the overland transport and storage of hazardous materials, alongside various other diverse and varied goods, and provides tailored solutions to its customers.
Storage areas for hazardous materials must be tailored to the type of material and the required storage conditions. The Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) specifies that hazardous materials can be stored in closed warehouses or in completely open areas, according to safety considerations and MSDS definitions. We strictly monitor and control every one of our storage areas, while modifying the storage area to the type of material and maintaining high safety standards.
Refrigerated Container Storage
Refrigerated containers (also referred to as reefers) are containers for storage of different items that require refrigerated storage to maintain their quality, and for certain items which must be refrigerated by law (usually food and medications).
Refrigerated containers are one of the major means currently used to transport goods that must be kept cool or refrigerated. Owing to the importance of maintaining low and controlled temperatures, these containers are equipped with an independent mechanism – a built-in refrigerating unit.
In most cases this unit receives its electricity supply from an external source in international freight forwarding between countries: in ocean freight forwarding – from the ship itself, on a train – from the train itself. When the container is land transported on a trailer or truck, the refrigerating unit may receive its electricity from a diesel generator in the container.
Our storage terminal has storage capacity for 70 refrigerated containers simultaneously. As part of our service offering, monitoring and control are conducted in accordance with the calibrated temperature, in addition to inspection of the containers’ functioning during storage in the terminal.
The service is provided 24/7.
Cargo Train
As part of its overland transport services, Fridenson provides cargo transport by rail. The company owns a rail terminal located inside the container terminal, that includes 4 rail tracks and provides direct and convenient access to all Israel Railway infrastructures across the country.
The cargo rail mainly provides a solution for cargo transport between Haifa Port and Ashdod, as well as for import and export cargo originating from the chemical plants in the south.
Value-Added Services
To expand the scope of the services we offer you, our customers, we provide added-value services that include emptying containers, containerization, packaging, labeling and pelletization.
We also offer a cross docking service, an excellent solution to avoid delay charges and unnecessary fines and saving you valuable time and money! The cross docking service enables unloading of the cargo and quick transfer for direct shipment without interim storage.
This includes emptying the container within 24 hours, returning the empty container on the same day, and sorting the goods according to the items and the catalog numbers as you requested.
Container Forklift Rental
As part of the advanced services we offer our customers, we provide a rental service of container forklifts for lifting and moving different size cargos for different distances.
Rental is for both short and long-term periods according to the customer’s needs.
